Biography

Just a few words about me
My name is Chris Davis. I was born in Southampton in 1963, and I've had a love of art since I was young, mostly drawing and painting and a little bit of photography (snapshots).
Since I left school I have been working as a chef. In 2004 I got my first Digital Camera, it was a Fuji finepix S7000, and was enough to capture my imagination, although with a slow start up time and shutter-lag I soon wanted to trade it in for a digital SLR, at that time Canon had the EOS 300D which was well rated in the Digital Photo magazine, so the upgrades began.
I moved to Plymouth in 2006 and didn't have as much time for photography as I would have liked, but I did join the local camera club at Plymstock in 2007, and to my amazement won some of their competitions. I have 2 trophies to my name and have completed a wedding and portrait course at the R.H.Davenport school of photography. I am now living In Scotland a great place for landscape and seascape photography, and now think its time to change my career for a New Beginnings.........
